A new poll shows overwhelming support by Americans for President Donald Trump's decision to authorize airstrikes to take out Iran's nuclear capabilities.
In a post on Thursday on X, The Trafalgar Group shared results of a new joint survey with InsiderAdvantage that showed the public opinion about President Trump's actions related to the Iran-Israel conflict and the decision to destroy several Iranian nuclear facilities.
An earlier post from Trafalgar pollster Robert Cahaly read, "58% Approve, 39% Disapprove @realDonaldTrump's decision to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities."
When the same group was asked about Trump's efforts to maintain a ceasefire agreement, 66.4% approved compared to 20.2% who disapproved.
And when it comes to Trump's handling of the Israel/Iran conflict overall, 59.5% Approve vs. 36.4% Disapprove.

Speaking to Fox News's Sean Hannity about the results, InsiderAdvantage pollster Matt Towery and Cahaly broke down the strong approval ratings for Trump's actions.
The company provided a breakdown of some of those comments here:
The public's opinion of the decision to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities was mixed at first but increasingly moved toward approval of the actions in the following days.
The very limited nature of the US response met the public's obvious desire for responding without expanding the US role in the region or requiring "boots on the ground."
The results back up another recent poll that blew up the narrative of some kind of divide in "MAGA" over how Trump's base feels when it comes to the Iran-Israel conflict, RedState reported:
Teri Christoph wrote:
A new poll from the firm GrayHouse puts things into sharp focus: Trump's 2024 voters overwhelmingly support Israel taking military action against Iran, and also see Iran as an existential threat to the national security of the United States. They're additionally supportive of President Trump taking military action in order to protect the US.
It's all there in black and white.
The minority position is so overrepresented on social media and in podcasts … https://t.co/N2JGAD7XCN

That's not all. Poll results show that 83 percent of Trump voters support the strikes on Iran's nuclear program, with 72 percent supporting the US taking "direct military action" to prevent Tehran from developing its nuclear capabilities.
Christoph went on to provide the results that showed MAGA was far from fractured. It read:
Perhaps the most telling bit of information to emerge from this new poll is how MAGA feels about relying on diplomatic efforts to resolve the escalating conflict. In short, they're against it, with 73 percent stating they don't trust Tehran to keep their end of any diplomatic deal. This is the number that shatters the narrative that one side of MAGA supports diplomacy while the other side is in favor of military action. MAGA, it seems, is united in its determination that ensure that Iran does not develop and use nukes, and they're behind the president taking all necessary action to stop them. The schism that some X users love to talk about simply doesn't exist.

The Trafalgar poll was taken after Trump's announcement on social media on Saturday, celebrating the success of the attack on Iran's nuclear ambitions.
On Monday, Trump announced a "total ceasefire" agreed on between Iran and Israel, following the successful completion of the US strikes on the Islamic State's key enrichment facilities.
