NextImg:NEW: Kansas City Police Charge Two Minors in Connection With Chiefs Parade Shooting

Two minors have now been charged in connection with Wednesday's shooting in Kansas City at the end of the parade celebrating the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory. Following the incident, in which at least 22 people were injured, and one woman was killed, police indicated they had at least three people in custody.

On Friday, authorities announced that charges have now been filed against two individuals. 

"Two juveniles were charged on Thursday, February 15, 2024, by the Office of the Juvenile Officer related to the incident at the Chiefs' rally on February 14, 2024," the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri said in a Friday statement. 

"The juveniles are currently detained in secure detention at the Juvenile Detention Center on gun related and resisting arrest charges," the court said.

Per the statement, additional charges may be forthcoming. 

On Thursday, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker posted to social media, vowing to "use every tool at my disposal under Missouri law that allows me to address this tragedy."
