NextImg:New: Chuck Schumer Feels the Heat - In More Ways Than One

As RedState has reported, Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has been feeling the heat from Democrats in multiple ways ever since Donald Trump's second inauguration, with many finding the entrenched politico insufficiently hardcore on the issue of their militant Resistance campaign against President Trump.

Schumer backing down to Republicans on the continuing resolution in March was the straw that broke the backs of some on the left who began openly calling for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to primary him in 2028.

The longtime fixture in New York politics also, at one point, had to postpone a book tour, which was scheduled primarily in deep blue cities, due to the intense backlash from Democrat voters, something that was reportedly leading to "security concerns," according to staffers.

And now, amid New York City possibly being on the verge of installing a woke antisemitic communist as its next mayor, Schumer is feeling an even more intense kind of heat - not just from a political standpoint but also literal one:

Schumer to the hospital this morning for dehydration

From Schumer’s office:

Leader Schumer was at the Senate gym this morning and got lightheaded. Out of an abundance of caution, he went to the hospital to be treated for dehydration and is now back at work in the Capitol.

He wants to remind everyone to drink some water and stay out of the heat.

Like many places across America, our nation's capital is miserably hot at the moment, with DC reportedly "under an extreme heat alert on Wednesday, with the heat index expected to be well over 100 degrees."

Schumer, of course, isn't the only New York Democrat who has made headlines for experiencing heat-related issues. In May 2019, then-House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) nearly passed out during a press conference in the Big Apple, with his office saying he was dehydrated and that the room was warm:

Where I'm at, in Charlotte, NC, the temperatures have been brutal, with highs hovering near or at 100 degrees with the "real feel" temps being between 105 and 110 degrees. It's been so hot and muggy that we've had to bump our AC temps up a couple of degrees to try and get it to stop running so much.

A contractor we were supposed to have here earlier called to reschedule for this evening, when hopefully it will be cooler (though thunderstorms may be hovering).

This heat is no joke. Stay safe out there, y'all, and keep yourselves hydrated and cool.

Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into the "Golden Age" as Democrats try desperately to stop it.
