California Gov. Gavin Newsom threw a huge tantrum after the Border Patrol made arrests near his redistricting rally on Thursday.
He thought that was somehow evidence that President Donald Trump was trying to upstage him, ranting that it wasn't "coincidental." He ended up upstaging himself, with help from LA Mayor Karen Bass, when their tantrums then became the focus of the news--rather than his redistricting rally, which didn't attract many people.
Gavin Newsom's obsession with Trump is truly bizarre, as he claimed that someone sending him a "Trump 2028" hat was proof that Trump is going to run again in '28.

However, U.S. Border Patrol Chief Patrol Agent Gregory Bovino skewered poor Gavin's narcissism, explaining on Fox that it isn't about him; it is about protecting the city.
"Does the governor or Mayor Bass, when they have these meltdowns, these tantrums like that, do they want those individuals walking the streets," Bovino wondered Friday on "America’s Newsroom."
"Where's the outrage [when] there are Tren de Aragua members walking with impunity on the streets of Los Angeles, or child rapists, or a whole litany of other bad people and bad things, bad criminals walking the streets of Los Angeles?"
The Democrats like Newsom and Bass don't care about those crimes.
Bovino said DHS had 40 teams throughout the city that day, and that they are operating in Los Angeles every day.
He claimed that not far from the governor’s location, a suspected member of Tren de Aragua, a violent transnational gang from Venezuela, was arrested. That suspect was allegedly the main target of the operation.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also confirmed on "America Reports" Thursday that information about the suspects is what spurred the raid.
When Fox asked for a statement from Newsom, the response from his office was even more bizarre. "WE WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY WEAK LITTLE DONALD TRUMP, THE CRIMINAL PRESIDENT!"

They think responding like that is mocking Trump, but it only makes them look like they have nothing to offer except attacks on him. It's the height of obsession. Trump is meeting with world leaders for peace, while Gavin obsesses about him and throws fits. It's a crazy strategy from Newsom. In some ways, it's even more pathetic than Kamala Harris. He can't even come up with a style or policies. It shows the power of Trump, if all Newsom can do is try to copy him. Trump has real policies, and not just attacks, and he gets things done.
Then, too, Newsom doesn't seem to understand what he's saying with that response. He's saying that enforcing the law is some form of intimidation. That says a lot about how warped Newsom is. That also explains why Los Angeles and California are such a mess if he views enforcing the law that way. Why would anyone put such a person in any position of power, when they think like this?
