NextImg:Netflix Runs Into a Conservative Buzzsaw After It Pushes Transgenderism on Children

I'm convinced that setting money on fire is a fetish for Hollywood and its adjacent entities. For years, we've seen movies and shows crash and burn as they've attempted to shoehorn in left-wing politics at the expense of maintaining profitable audience levels. The latest example comes from Netflix, which is now facing a conservative boycott after it aired multiple shows overtly promoting transgenderism in children.

One, which is entitled "Dead End: Paranormal Park," has drawn the ire of Elon Musk, who is using his influence to promote a boycott of the massive streaming service.

Premiering on Netflix in 2022, "Dead End: Paranormal Park" is an animated series following protagonist Barney, who runs away to live in a Haunted House attraction after his grandma would not accept his gender identity. Other main characters for the show, rated appropriate for ages as young as seven, include a bisexual and Pakistani-American teenage girl with autism, and a gay Vietnamese-American, who serves as Barney's love interest.

The show was canceled after two seasons.

"The show was canceled after two seasons" should be the hint there for Netflix. It's likely those two seasons were made at the same time, meaning this show never made it off the launchpad. Which begs the question: Who exactly is the audience for this garbage?

The answer is no one, or at least very few people. Instead, Netflix, movie studios, and other production companies fund these projects as a means of "representation." Losing money in the name of promoting transgenderism is essentially paying a tribute to the woke mob.

Here's another example from Netflix's remake of "The Baby-Sitters Club" in which doctors and nurses are chastised by a child for "misgendering" another child.

NURSE: Took a while, but we finally found a file for a Baily Delvecchio. Is 32 Burnt Hill Road still the current address? Have you been giving him fluids? If he's dehydrated, we'll need to place an IV. Have him change into this.

("Transgender" child complains)

DOCTOR: I hear someone's not feeling well. Let's take a look at the little man.

CHILD: Can I please talk to you two outside?

I know that you guys are busy, but as you would see, if you looked at her and not her chart, Baily is not a boy. And by treating her like one, you're completely ignoring who she is. You're making her feel insignificant and humiliated, and that's not going to help her feel good, or safe, or calm. So, from here on out, please recognize her for who she is.

As expected, that show was also cancelled after two seasons, because again, this stuff does not make money. It's simply setting cash on fire at the altar of transgender ideology. It shouldn't have to be said, but doctors and nurses can not play these ridiculous games when treating patients. Biology trumps delusion when it comes to medicine, and if it doesn't, it can lead to deadly consequences for patients.

In the case of young children, though, you can't really blame delusion because so much of the "my child is transgender" craze is being pushed by parents on kids who just don't know any better. That's why it's especially hideous and harmful for Netflix to promote the idea that healthcare professionals should "affirm" a child as "transgender" when they could be suffering not from gender dysphoria, but from the deranged, selfish ideology of those around them.

None of this makes any financial sense. Why invite the wrath of a majority of viewers, including some on the left, given this isn't a 50/50 issue, just so some emotionally-stunted, bubble-dwelling writers can live vicariously through their bad art? Netflix's stock has already been driven down by the boycott, and it didn't have to be this way. These shows never should have been made, and at the very least, they should have been pulled out of the catalogue once the cultural zeitgeist regarding transgenderism and children so abruptly shifted over the last few years.

Most parents do not want their kids watching this junk, and if a streaming company keeps promoting it and making it accessible, they will lose subscribers, and rightfully so. Netflix is learning that the hard way, and maybe with enough pain, they'll realize that it's not 2021 anymore.
