In other words, the Democrats will say Trump is up to his usual "deviltry." Is that going to be an effective argument? Has it worked for them before?
No. Not at all.
JD Vance Has Brutal Takedown of Elizabeth Warren After She Implies Involvement in Peace Deal
That's quite the mic drop, and people on X loved it. If Vance becomes the 48th president, he's certainly going to keep things lively.
Basically, Amanpour once again confirmed who she really is with her initial comments - and we should believe her.

Gun Rights Group Calls on Trump to Fire Bondi, Assistant AG Responds
Under Pam Bondi, the DOJ has taken historic steps to support the right to keep and bear arms. But that doesn't mean that Second Amendment organizations can't also find fault with some of the positions the DOJ has taken in some 2A-related cases.
Letitia James' 'Tenant' in Mortgage Fraud Home Is a Niece Who Is a Fugitive From North Carolina
It is likely true that James would have gotten away with her multiple frauds--her record of lying to lenders goes back over 40 years, apparently--but for the fact that she spent years going after Donald Trump.

All Americans can do is shake our heads and hope maybe the populace will wake up.
Today on Capitol Hill...
The House is still out, but the Senate will reconvene Tuesday afternoon and, again, vote on the continuing resolution to fund/re-open the government. Will we see any movement from the Dems?
Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is calling out the Dems for playing partisan games.
White House What's Up
Given the whirlwind of his past 36 hours, you might expect President Donald Trump to take a breather on Tuesday, but nope, he'll be back out it. President Peacemaker returns to D.C. and the White House at 2:50 AM Eastern on Tuesday and will be greeting and meeting with Argentinian President Javier Millei early in the afternoon. After that, he'll participate in a Medal of Freedom Ceremony in honor of Charlie Kirk on what would have been his 32nd birthday.
Vice President JD Vance managed to sneak in a solid zinger on Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) after she tried to take credit for the release of the Hostages on Monday.

Full Court Press...
The Supreme Court has two more cases teed up for oral argument on Tuesday:
- Bowe v. United States — This one, having to do with successive habeas corpus applications, is pretty far into the weeds. The questions presented are: 1) Whether 28 U.S.C. § 2244(b)(1) applies to a claim presented in a second or successive motion to vacate under 28 U.S.C. § 2255; 2) Whether 28 U.S.C. § 2244(b)(3)(E) deprives [the Supreme Court] of certiorari jurisdiction over the grant or denial of an authorization by a court of appeals to file a second or successive motion to vacate under 28 U.S.C. § 2255.
- Ellingburg v. United States — Whether criminal restitution under the Mandatory Victim Restitution Act (MVRA) is penal for purposes of the Ex Post Facto Clause.
The courts were pretty quiet on Monday (with it being a legal holiday), so no notable decisions to report.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to visit the White House on Friday with plans to discuss weapons being supplied to Ukraine (including potentially Tomahawk missiles).
I don't have any idea whether the Middle East peace plan that President Trump helped broker will hold. There are plenty of reasons to be skeptical that it will. We won't know until we know.
But for now, I just want to give credit where it's due: He's earned the accolades. The remaining living hostages are home. The bodies of the deceased are being returned, and hopefully, all will be brought home soon. There's buy-in from a number of other countries in the region, and there's momentum in favor of it.
No doubt, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has an incentive to curry favor with President Trump, given their trade interests and the brewing conflict with Afghanistan, but I think there's something to what he said yesterday while speaking at the Peace 2025 Summit:
I think that you [are] the man this world needed most at this point in time. [The] world will always remember you as a man who did everything, went out of the way, to stop seven — and today, eight — wars.
