NextImg:More on How 'Ceasefire Now' Chants During Joe Biden's South Carolina Church Speech Backfired

As RedState reported earlier, President Joe Biden went to South Carolina Monday to pander to black voters in a blatant attempt to shore up their support ahead of Election Day and at a time when polling shows growing dissatisfaction among black voters for his and Vice President Kamala Harris' performances.

During the speech he gave at Charleston's Mother Emanuel AME Church, which was the site of the June 17, 2015, racially motivated mass shooting that left nine dead and one injured, Biden was heckled by anti-Israel radicals who began chanting "Ceasefire now," as we also reported.

For those who missed it, watch:

According to some reports, "after being led outside the venue, the protestors hugged and cheered; they were happy for disrupting the president's speech."

While the "four more years" reactions of those in attendance clearly showed the protesters' stunt backfired, just how badly it backfired was evident in some of the responses given by congregants who were interviewed in the aftermath:

Symone Sanders Townsend, who was a senior advisor for Biden's 2020 presidential campaign and who went on to work as chief spokesperson for Harris for a time before leaving the administration, also voiced her extreme displeasure with the radicals in a tweet pointing out how the historic church is "hallowed ground":

Mother Emanuel AME is hallowed ground in the AME church community and in Charleston especially. The shock of people in the crowd at protesters yelling out while President Biden was speaking from the pulpit cannot be overstated. I too couldn't believe it.

While that's all well and good, and I agree that it shouldn't have happened, what do Democrats expect?  Some of the more prominent ones, including some in the Jewish community, seem content in coddling them even though the agitators have made it more than clear that their intentions are not honorable.

Even Biden himself, as further evidenced by his remarks from the speech, treated them with kids gloves, saying he respected "their passion" and noting he has been "quietly" working with Israeli leaders to get Israel to back off from trying to eradicate the terrorists who want them dead.

It's no wonder the protesters thought it was okay to yell and scream on behalf of murderous terrorists in a church where a horrific mass shooting took place. In turning blind eyes to their dangerous traffic blockades, their antisemitic "from the river to the sea" chants, and now this, Appeasement Democrats have effectively given them their blessing to behave abhorrently and get away with it.

That said, though BidenCo. thinks it's a good idea to attempt to curry favor with Hamas Caucus types both in government and outside of it, stunts like what was pulled today have a way of coming back to bite all parties involved in the hind ends in the court of public opinion, and considering where his ratings are now, Biden doesn't need to be adding any more to his growing to-do list in terms of "righting" the ship among Democratic and independent voters before November.
