NextImg:Moore to the Point - You Keep Using That Word...

It's one of the many iconic scenes and quotes from my very favorite movie, "The Princess Bride." Inigo Montoya questions his boss Vizzini's repeated use of the word "Inconceivable!" as time after time, events that he labels as such nevertheless come to pass, observing, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

It was called to mind as I watched the House Judiciary hearing with Special Counsel Robert Hur on Tuesday morning. Despite the multiple attempts by Democrats to insist that Hur's report "exonerated" Joe Biden for his mishandling of classified documents, Hur was quick to point out that his report did no such thing. Nor did it find Biden "innocent." (That's another one of those misnomers that frequently crop up in relation to criminal investigations and judicial proceedings.)

No, Hur's findings didn't "exonerate" Joe Biden — no matter how many times Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) throw that word out there. Although I'm certain there are media outlets and leftist pundits who'll seize upon the term and continue to use it just like Vizzini with "inconceivable."

Now, if only Republicans could find a way to be more Dread Pirate Roberts-like.
