Good morning, and welcome to RedState's "Morning Minute" — a brief glimpse at which stories are trending at the moment and a look ahead at what the day may bring. Consider this your one-stop shop for news to kickstart your day.

Marco Rubio Leaves Jonathan Karl Spluttering As He Lays Out Successes of Trump Versus Failures of Biden

That's when things took a somewhat humorous (albeit darkly humorous) turn, with Karl expressing utter disbelief that Rubio would want to associate himself in any way with the Bad Orange Man or could possibly lay blame at the feet of President Joe Biden for much of the chaos we're seeing at present.

Full Court Press...

The Supreme Court will hear oral argument in several cases on Monday:

  1. Becerra v. San Carlos Apache Tribe —
  2. Becerra v. Northern Arapaho Tribe — (Consolidated cases regarding "whether the Indian Health Service must pay “contract support costs” not only to support IHS-funded activities, but also to support the tribe’s expenditure of income collected from third parties)"
  3. Harrow v. Dept. of Defense — At issue: "Whether the 60-day deadline in 5 U.S.C. § 7703(b)(1)(A) for a federal employee to petition the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to review a final decision of the Merit Systems Protection Board is jurisdictional"

Welp, my brackets are done busted. For one brief shining moment in the middle of Round 2, things looked promising.

But now, it appears that I'll wind up very middle-of-the-pack at best. Still fun to follow along and track the outcomes — but it's even more fun when bragging rights are included.

Who doesn't appreciate a cute puppy vid to start the week?
