Podcast host Joe Rogan has shredded various prominent Democrats over their defense of Joe Biden, accusing them of "gaslighting" the country over the president's economic record.

During a recent episode of his "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast with TV personality Chris Williamson, Rogan pointed out that prominent Democrats are "constantly trying to figure out a way to manipulate the reality of the world" by arguing that Biden has been a fantastic president:

I mean we’ve seen some wild gaslighting the past couple weeks, talking about the economy. There’s so much gaslighting! Gavin Newsom talking about how great Biden was, and the Democrats' record, and [Biden is] one of the greatest presidents, ever, full stop.

"It’s like hot gas in your face. It’s burning your lungs. ... Yeah, his age really is a superpower.

Rogan's comments were a reference to a recent interview given by California Governor Newsom in which he claimed the American economy is "booming."

He also called out "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, who shared an article claiming that Biden's age was actually his "superpower."

Rogan continued:

You’re talking about a guy who can’t speak. We all know you’re doing this; you’re gaslighting. And you’re doing it because you think that this is the good side and the bad side’s bad, and you do whatever you can to change the way people view things.

Although not a strongly political figure, Rogan's comments underscore the growing disconnect between Democratic elites and the wider country, as Biden and his surrogates continue to claim that everything is moving in the right direction.

Regardless of what happens with the economy, Rogan probably doesn't need to worry. Earlier this month, he signed a monster $250 million deal with Spotify to continue distribution of his podcast, despite repeated complaints from the company's woke employees about his libertarian views and choice of guests. The new deal will also allow Rogan to post his podcasts across the internet rather than being limited to the Spotify platform.

According to Time magazine, around 11 million people download every episode of Rogan's show, making it far and away the platform's largest podcast. Since its launch in 2009, he has recorded over 2,100 episodes, with guests ranging from billionaire Elon Musk and boxing legend Mike Tyson all the way through to singer Miley Cyrus and socialist politician Bernie Sanders.
