NextImg: Joe Rogan Finally Weighs In on Those Church Rumors

Podcast host Joe Rogan finally confirmed those rumors about him going to church and said that he's, in fact, been attending church on Sundays, calling the experience a "good vibe."

During a recent episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, the host was speaking with guest comedians Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffir when the Faith rumors came up amid his current sobriety.

Rogan revealed that it had been three months since he had had any alcohol before he confirmed that he, indeed, had been going to church. (It comes at the 2:15 minute mark.)

"Wait, are you going to church, too, or is that bull[..]?" Normand said.

"I have been to church," Rogan replied. "Why? Have you ever been to church before?"

"I've been," Normand responded.

"It's actually very nice; they're all just trying to be better people," the host replied. "It's a good vibe."

When pressed by Gillis if he had attended a Catholic church, Rogan said yes, "I tried that; I did that."

"If it's not Catholic, which one is it?" Normand asked.

Rogan replied, "It's just a Christian church."

The statement comes after weeks of reports that the host, who has never identified himself as an atheist but also never said he was a Christian, was going to church consistently, the Christian Post noted.

During the "Living Waters" podcast, Central Canada director for Apologetics Canada Wesley Huff talked about his appearance in January on the Rogan podcast when the two men took a deep dive into the Bible and Christianity, the New York Post reported.

"Joe Rogan and I have had on and off communication since then. I can tell you for a fact that he is attending a church, and that has been a consistent thing," Huff told the host. "And so, things are happening."

The report noted that Huff said that:

"He's a very inquisitive individual," he said. "I think for the better in that he's communicating with me and other people in his life who are influences that can speak into, you know, these issues of reliability and trustworthiness and verisimilitude of something like the pages of Scripture, and where he should and shouldn't be looking for the information in regards to that."

Huff also discussed the current resurgence in faith, citing the success of the "Rosary in a Year" podcast, which overtook Rogan's show on the Apple Podcast charts earlier this year.

"We had someone who reached out to us recently at Apologetics Canada, who is probably the last bricks-and-mortar Christian bookstore that I've ever heard of. But they said, 'We have people walking through our doors asking, young people, teenagers saying, I want a Bible. All my friends are reading this thing,'" Huff explained.

"If the Bible is, you know, becoming popular with teenagers, then something is happening and the Lord is moving," he concluded.

RedState recently reported that there appears to be an uptick in faith for younger generations. Specifically, it's Gen Z that's embracing Christianity.

Brandon Morse wrote that:

As reported by Newsweek, the uptick in believers isn't small:

In the U.S., rising numbers of young people have also been turning to Christianity. A recent study by Barna also found that "rates of belief in Jesus" have increased, with much of this increase being down to a newfound interest in Christianity among Gen Z.

Barna's latest data showed that 66 percent of all U.S. adults surveyed have "made a personal commitment to Jesus." That marks a 12 percent increase since commitment levels were polled in 2021. Pew Research Center also released a report in February showing that the declining rates of Christians that had been tracked for years have begun to taper off and stabilize.
