NextImg:Joe Biden Signed With a Hollywood Talent Agency? Let's Brainstorm Some Possible Roles.

Folks, we have officially descended into the realm of the surreal. Joe Biden — he was president once, remember? Anyway, Joe Biden has signed on to be represented by a Hollywood talent agency. And not just any talent agency — with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA.)

Yes, really.

Joe Biden has signed with Creative Artists Agency for representation as he begins his post-presidential era.

“President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs,” said Richard Lovett, co-chairman of CAA. “His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility. We are profoundly honored to partner with him again.”

Lovett, along with fellow co-chairs Bryan Lourd and Kevin Huvane, have been among Hollywood’s prominent backers of Biden and Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign as well as other Democratic candidates.

OK, we learned one thing right away: Richard Lovett may be good at managing actors and actresses, but just judgment on presidents is not only bad, it's delusional. Joe Biden was the exact opposite of respected and influential; just ask Italy's Giorgia Meloni:

As it happens, befuddled old Joe signed on with CAA in between his term as vice president and his... 2020.

And the move for the Delaware politician marks a homecoming for Biden and the agency, which had repped him during his post-vice presidential wilderness years from 2017 through his 2020 victory over Donald Trump. In that time, Biden published a book, Promise Me, Dad, reflecting on his eldest son Beau’s battle with cancer, as well as embarked on a nationwide paid tour.

It doesn't seem logical for a Hollywood talent agency to sign a guy for a book; that would be more the province of a publisher — and, in this case, a good ghost-writer. Although the speaking tour, assuming Joe was talking about his years in the Senate and as vice president, well, that would require some acting, as it's a near-certainty he spewed out some pretty creative fiction.

But what if Joe is planning on winding down his dotage with an acting career? As it happens, there may be a few projects for which his demeanor and abilities may be suited. Here's a short list:

The possibilities are endless. Of course, no matter where Joe Biden's career takes him from here on out, we can be eternally grateful for one thing:

He's not the president anymore.
