I don't agree with many of British author J.K. Rowling's politics; she's a leftie on almost every issue, which frankly isn't exactly uncommon in the once-Great Britain. But I am pleased with how the stories she has spun did so much to make reading cool among a couple of generations of kids on both sides of the Atlantic, including my kids and my grandkids.
But what I really like most about her is the way she stands up for women's rights. And by women, I mean, adult females of the species Homo sapiens. On Friday, she took to her X account to fire another broadside at the pro-trans activists, and that broadside would have done Admiral Nelson proud.
The post continues:
Trans activist lobby groups lied about what the law said. They claimed trans-identified men were entitled to everything women were entitled to, under the law. This false interpretation, which removed sex-based rights from women and girls and gave trans-identified men additional rights, may have been imposed upon large sections of society, but it was always illegal, as countless legal experts and grassroots women's groups fought to have recognised.
The Supreme Court restored to women rights they'd lost in practice. Trans-identified men lost nothing in law, because they'd never had the rights they claimed they had. The media types now hyperventilating in print because trans people's rights have been 'reduced' are still lying. Nothing has been taken from trans-identified people except a false belief, and women have simply regained what they should have had all along.
She's spot on, as my British friend would say. She supported the UK Supreme Court decision and has said so many times. But here's another thing I admire about J.K. Rowling, and that's how good she is at delivering a Whack-a-Mole style beatdown to her detractors in the replies. Here, take a look:
This one really shows off J.K. Rowling's cutting wit:
Right in the ten ring.
J.K. Rowling has been tireless on this issue, and not just on X:

There were, sadly, a few even more unhinged replies that either Ms. Rowling hasn't seen or didn't dignify with a response, but they are sad looks into the sad minds of sad people:
There's a reason for this, that this biology-illiterate doesn't seem to understand: No women are pretending to be men trying to get places on men's sports teams. Why? Because they'd be crushed, because there are major biological advantages that men have over women.
Honey, human biology, when it comes to sex, is (with rare and normally debilitating exceptions) a rigid, binary framework. Sex in mammals, not just humans, is binary: Male and female. These are facts. And there is no such thing as a "lived reality," just as there is no "my truth." Those are nonsense terms. There is only reality and truth, and this person seems to have little acquaintance with either.
At least this kind of thing seems to have peaked, not only in the United Kingdom, but here, too.

We can disagree with J.K. Rowling on any number of things, and probably do. But her efforts here are laudable, not just because she's right, but because she has a voice that reaches millions - and she's reaching them, with the truth.
