Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) has picked a lot of dumb fights since Donald Trump was sworn in for his second term in office, undoubtedly in part because he is rumored to have his eye on a possible 2028 run for president.

Among Pritzker's many bad decisions was the one he made to insert himself into the redistricting fight going on in Texas, presenting himself as a beacon of democracy, even though Illinois is one of the most heavily gerrymandered states in America under decades of corrupt Democrat rule - including Pritzker's.

Another one was to proclaim that Chicago had its myriad crime issues under control and was a safe place to be - just a day after a particularly violent Labor Day weekend that saw 37 shootings occur over the three-day period, where 58 people were shot, with eight of the shootings being deadly.

Pritzker has also made a fool of himself on the issue of illegal immigration, opposing ICE sweeps in Chicago and the National Guard's presence in his state as well, stating that the Trump administration has no business arresting, detaining, and deporting criminal illegal immigrants - and that if he wants to do that, he'll have to come through Pritzker:

Amid an ongoing war of words, the Democrat remained defiant on Wednesday and said: 'This is a convicted felon who is threatening to jail me. This guy is unhinged. He's insecure. He's a wannabe dictator.'

He told reporters: 'There's one thing I really want to say to Donald Trump: if you come for my people, you come through me. So come and get me.' 

It was a strange position to take, considering the Windy City has had a persistent problem with violent activity from criminal illegals, something that was confirmed in September in Operation Midway Blitz:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested several dangerous criminal illegal aliens in the sanctuary city of Chicago, for heinous crimes such as sexually assaulting a child family member, rape, armed robbery, and domestic battery. As part of Operation Midway Blitz, these arrests honor Katie Abraham who was killed in a drunk driving hit-and-run car wreck caused by criminal illegal alien Julio Cucul-Bol in Illinois.

On Wednesday, Pritzker picked another fight, this time with Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, alleging he was "ignoring his job and doing pushups" to set a world record while Illinois was "being invaded by Trump's military troops."

Hegseth, in turn, informed Pritzker that it probably wouldn't be a bad idea for him to do a few pushups himself, before once again notifying him that the "troops will do the job you refuse to do":

There's talking about being a leader, and then there is actually being a real leader. I think it's obvious which one is which in this scenario.
