NextImg:Jasmine Crockett Response to Story Calling Her 'Boss From Hell' Hits Peak Narcissism

The New York Post broke a great story on Thursday about Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX). They cited people who had worked with her or were close to her team who painted her as the no-show boss from hell.

It was not a complimentary portrait. Here's some of it:

“She is laying around her apartment, won’t come into the office, and is really just indifferent to staff and will scream at them,” the former aide said.

“She is never in the office and is very disengaged. She does her bulls— that goes viral, and then freaks out over the most random things.”

A second source close to Crockett’s team added: “It is widely known that she’s not nice to staff and is just not a really dedicated member focused on constituents.”

“She is focused almost exclusively on being an influencer, not a member of Congress,” said a third source who has worked with Crockett, describing her as “all diva, no wow.”

She also allegedly wants staffers to drive her around in upscale rental cars and hold open the door for her, one source said, calling it a "power play." The Post said that some staffers had become "fed up."

After the story ran, Crockett was asked about it during an interview on "Face the Nation" with Major Garrett about Texas redistricting. Crockett laughed as though this was the greatest thing ever and said it showed that she had "arrived."

"As Beyoncé says, if they're not talking about you, you must not be doing anything," she said. Talk about peak narcissism there, invoking Beyoncé. You're not a star, you're supposed to be a servant of the people when you're a member of Congress. That says something right there about how she views herself.

"This is just more slander, more nonsense, more lies," Crockett replied. She said she got a lot of "scrutiny" because she was young and a black woman. Nothing in the story had anything to do with race or being young, and everything to do with the way that she was allegedly treating them. And I'm not sure that 44 years old is exactly "young."

She mentioned a song that she said she liked to quote, "Your hate is my motivation." "So keep hating," she said, adding that it motivated her to be "loud and proud."

Pro tip, Jasmine? It's not haters, as you term it, it's people who worked with you who are calling you out. Is she calling them liars? Notice she skips right past that part and attacks the NY Post.

This isn't the first story to raise issues — the liberal outlet The Atlantic had one as well. In that profile, she supposedly believed she deserved to be the ranking member on the House Oversight Committee because of her social media following.

But this is where the Democrats are now. This is one of their "leaders."

No wonder they are in such trouble.
