As the conflict between Israel and Iran continues to intensify, I've been reminded of the end of the classic 1956 movie, "Moby Dick," in which three whaleboats — Captain Ahab’s included — are left silently drifting on the open sea, oars raised, waiting for Moby Dick to resurface.
They know the whale is coming back; they just don't know when.
As RedState reported earlier, an Iranian missile slammed into a civilian hospital in southern Israel early Thursday morning. The attack caused extensive damage to Soroka Hospital, which "treats Jews, Muslims, Christians, etc," and reportedly left multiple people wounded.

Iran claimed (no doubt lied) that its intended target was a military facility in an industrial park, which it falsely claimed is adjacent to the hospital (it's more than a mile away).
Whether the strike on the hospital was accidental or intentional matters not to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, who said, after the strike, that Iran’s so-called “Supreme Leader,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is "the modern Hitler” and "without question this man should not continue to exist.”
As reported by The Times of Israel, Katz added, while visiting the site of the missile strike:
A dictator like Khamenei, who heads a country like Iran and has made the destruction of the State of Israel his declared goal, this horrific goal of destroying Israel, cannot be allowed to continue or materialize.
I compare it to the scenario in which, during the horrific Holocaust, if the State of Israel had existed and a strong Israel Defense Forces had existed, and we knew we could send the IDF into a bunker to capture the enemy of the Jewish people, Hitler, in order to thwart his plan to annihilate the Jews, we would have done it.
“We would have sent the IDF, extracted him, and eliminated him. And just like that, correspondingly, I see the current situation — Khamenei is the modern Hitler."
Given Khamenei's past calls for Israel to be “annihilated,” and for "elimination" of the Jewish state, is there any question whether the "Supreme Leader" is the modern-day Hitler? (Except as viewed by the Democrat Party, of course, given that Trump is "Hitler," a "fascist," and so forth, but I digress.)
As of this article, Israel had not said exactly how it would respond to the attack on the hospital, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu curtly warned on X, in Hebrew:
We will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran.
A word to the wise:
When Bibi Netanyahu speaks, it behooves both friends and enemies alike to listen. However, the problem remains: Khamenei and his fellow Islamists in Tehran continue to test the no-nonsense Israeli prime minister and the will of the Israeli people — a deadly game I suspect he will lose if he continues.

In related news, Trump posted on Tuesday that he knows "exactly where the so-called 'Supreme Leader' is hiding," and that Khamenei is "an easy target, but is safe there — We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now."
