We reported on the huge meltdown that Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass had over federal agents performing an enforcement operation in MacArthur Park.
She continued the Democrats' embrace of illegal aliens and demonizing ICE. But that isn't going to stop federal agents from doing their job, no matter how much she whines.

If you needed further proof of how much Democrats live in an alternate reality, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) helped provide that - with a tweet meant to help Bass.
"MacArthur Park is not a war zone," Swalwell claimed. "It is a playground, a picnic spot, a community spot. But you wouldn’t know that looking at it now. Why send armed agents to terrorize a community?"
He's from California, but he doesn't appear to have any idea what MacArthur Park is like now. Swalwell got a massive ratio of folks clueing him in on the reality of what a hellhole the park is, with drug users and homeless people.
You get the idea. With people being people, there were also many mentions of Fang Fang. People wanted Swalwell to send them a video of his picnic in the park with his family - something you know isn't happening if he even had the first idea about the park. They encouraged him to walk through the park at night if he truly thinks that it is safe and to let them know if he makes it out. His district, District 14, is north, near San Francisco.
Let's check in with what NBC reported about it in 2024...with their reporter a few blocks away later in the day, so he could do it "safely." But earlier in the day, they did go into the park and show what a mess it was.
The owner of Langer's, an 80-year-old deli across from the park, threatened to close because of the situation, according to the report. It's still hanging in there, as of this writing.
The bottom line is the park isn't anything like Swalwell described it. Democrats like Swalwell reject reality if that reality doesn't help with the narrative they are trying to push.
This is one of the reasons that voters have rejected them in return.
