As we reported, California Gov. Gavin Newsom held a rally to promote the "Election Rigging Response Act," which proposes a new constitutional amendment. The proposal supposedly keeps California’s Citizens Redistricting Commission but includes temporarily adopting new California congressional districts for use in congressional elections through 2030.
As my colleague Jennifer Oliver O'Connell observed, it appeared Newsom had a pretty small audience for the announcement. So it looked like his play for attention failed.
But on top of that, he was truly mad about the Border Patrol arrests outside his event getting more attention and stealing his thunder. He has severe Trump Derangement Syndrome and was convinced their action was aimed at him.
And again, just like with Mayor Karen Bass, he was furious that they were enforcing the law near him; he called it "sick and pathetic."

Newsom said it showed "everything you needed to know about Trump's authoritarian tendencies." "Wake up, America," he warned. "You will not have a country if he rigs this election," even as he was trying to change the way redistricting had been done in his state.
Dang that darn Border Patrol, how dare they enforce the law and annoy him! And it has to be about him, in his TDS mind.
The truly hilarious part was when he claimed that Trump would be running for a third term, "Mark my word." What's his evidence for that? One of Trump's biggest supporters sent him a "Trump 2028" hat, he claims. "These people are not screwing around," he stated. I'm not sure I believe him, but I could see someone trolling him. He's so dumb, he's falling for what sounds like a troll. If he thinks that proves something, he isn't bright enough to run for the most important job in the land. But hat tip to whoever it was who trolled him with the hat.
Newsom even claimed Trump "didn't believe in free enterprise." What kind of crazy attack is that against a businessman and real estate entrepreneur who's been doing everything he can to bring back jobs in America? It's the folks on the Democrat side who have a problem with free enterprise and want to dictate to the American people.
Newsom is not a serious person, much less someone who should ever be given the highest job in the land, if he takes receiving a hat seriously. And now he's likely to be sent a lot of Trump 2028 hats.
