NextImg:Hegseth to Leaker of Iran Attack Assessment: FBI Is Coming for You

Shh, don’t tell CNN. Don’t tell the New York Times.

But Iran’s foreign ministry is admitting that the U.S. strikes on its nuclear sites did do some serious damage to their facilities.

Iran publicly admitted for the first time Wednesday that its nuclear sites were “badly damaged” by the American bunker-busting bombs.

As we’ve reported, CNN and The New York Times have been claiming that the attacks didn’t do that much damage and only set the regime’s nuclear weapon hopes back by mere months, not years. The Trump administration is furious at the alleged leak of a Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) report that alleged— with low confidence—that the attacks were not particularly successful.

But the long arm of the law is coming after whoever leaked the preliminary report, according to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Katie Pavlich at our sister site Townhall reports:

THE HAGUE, Netherlands - Speaking to reporters at the NATO Summit Wednesday, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth revealed a criminal leak investigation is underway after top secret intelligence was illegally shared to undermine U.S. military strikes on Iran's nuclear program.

"When you actually look at the report, by the way it was a top secret report, it was preliminary, it was low confidence, you make assessments based on what you know," Hegseth told Townhall ahead of a meeting with the NATO delegation. "We're doing a leak investigation with the FBI right now because this information is for internal purposes, battle damage assessments."

"CNN and others are trying to spin it to make the President look bad when it was an overwhelming success," he continued.

Secretary Rubio adds: These are professional “stabbers” manipulating intelligence POTUS: We “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear sites, set it back years

The mainstream corrupt legacy media has an agenda, Hegseth argued, and that is to “get Trump” no matter what the facts are:

HEGSETH: "The instinct of CNN, the instinct of the New York Times, is to try to find a way to spin it for their own political reasons, to try to hurt President Trump or our country."

TRUMP: " You especially you should be proud of those pilots and you shouldn't be trying to demean them."

Whichever deepstater did leak the report clearly had an agenda: embarrass the president. While more and more reports are coming in that the strikes did do major damage—it’s hard to imagine that fourteen 30,000 lb. bunker busters didn’t wreak some serious havoc—CNN and The New York Times are working overtime to claim that it was all a bust.

That leaker may soon be getting a visit from the FBI.
