ABC News reporter Terry Moran unleashed a savage tweet on June 8 against Trump aide Stephen Miller, who Moran said was richly "endowed with the capacity for hatred” and was “a world-class hater.” Shocker, another mainstream media “journalist” bringing unbiased news (not). 

He used the word “bile” in his screed, which is a great word, and it just happens to sum up not Stephen Miller but his own post.

His tweet set off a firestorm of criticism and reportedly even angered some of his own colleagues. He was first suspended, then fired, and many on social media questioned whether he was “tweeting under the influence.” What else could explain such a spectacularly idiotic move on his part?

In a Monday interview with The New York Times, however, the axed reporter was unapologetic and claimed he was not in fact drunk:

Moran, in his first interview since being canned last week, told the New York Times, “It wasn’t a drunk tweet.”

“I wrote it, and I said, ‘That’s true,’” according to the interview published Monday.

Personally, I think he’d be better off saying he was toasted; at least he’d have somewhat of an explanation for why he nuked his career and reputation. Weirdly, he posted it after a family dinner. Perfectly normal behavior:

He composed the since-deleted post after an evening walk, a family dinner, and watching “Ocean’s Eleven” with his kids, Moran said.

“I typed it out and I looked at it and I thought, ‘That’s true,’” he said.

You can almost imagine him saying, “Hey kids, that was fun! Good movie. I’ll be back in a minute—just going to take a quick moment to see if I can get fired.”

Incredibly, Moran stands by his tweet (even though he deleted it) and claimed in another interview that it’s not the job of journalists to be objective. They’re not even trying to hide their blatant leftism anymore:

He seems to ignore reality when he says his nasty opinion was somehow factual. What a joke:

“You don’t sacrifice your citizenship as a journalist, and your job is not to be objective,” he told Bulwark.

“There is no Mount Olympus of objectivity where a Mandarin class of wise people have no feelings about their society. We’re all in this together. What you have to be is fair and accurate … while very hot, [the post] is an observation, a description that was accurate and true.”

And that, folks, is why nobody trusts the mainstream/corporate/legacy media anymore.

But do you think the entitled Swamp Creature was done? Nope. He had the audacity to whine about ABC News not renewing his contract:

Moran, who joined ABC News in 1997, claimed the network had reached an oral agreement to extend his contract for another three years — only to abruptly reverse course.

“We had a deal,” he told the Times. “They’re bailing.”

Newsflash, Terry: you also had a deal to honor ABC News’ policies, yet they found you were in “clear violation” of them. Karma can be brutal sometimes.

“It's not our job to be objective, it’s to be fair and accurate” the now-fired hack goes on to claim.

I’m actually surprised ABC News did the right thing here; they’re not exactly known for that. Maybe they’re tired of shelling out tens of millions of dollars in defamation suits.  

It’s not 2020 anymore, newshounds. It looks as if the days of finding success by just spewing out DNC talking points and endlessly blasting half the country's voters are over.
