Happy Friday! I hope you are all looking forward to this three-day weekend. I know I am. It's been a brutal week emotionally covering heartbreaking stories of rancid evil and its aftermath, and the rancid politicians and leftists who enable it. Consider these two stories a much-needed palate cleanser, so you can fully embrace the weekend with a fresh perspective.

Unexpected heroes at unexpected times is the subject of this Week's Feel-Good Friday.

Kyle Myvett of Cape Coral, FL, said in a news video: "I don't have Superman pajamas because he's kind of... if you're always impervious and invincible, you're not really brave."

On Wednesday, Myvett certainly proved that he is. Wearing only his Batman pajamas, At 2:03 am, Myvett apprehended a suspected robber and held him until the police arrived.

A quick-thinking Florida resident in Batman pajamas turned hero when he apprehended a suspected burglar in the act.

The Cape Coral Police Department (CCPD) said that officers responded to a burglary in progress in Southeast Cape Coral on Wednesday at 2:03 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers reported finding the suspect already detained by a quick-thinking neighbor, who was dressed in Batman pajamas.

The neighbor, identified as Kyle Myvett, reported that he was alerted by his home security cameras about someone breaking into his vehicle.

Still wearing his Batman pajamas, Kyle ventured outside to investigate.

According to CCPD, he discovered the suspect rummaging through his truck and later found the same individual inside a neighbor’s garage. Kyle reportedly detained the suspect until the police arrived.

"I got ahold of their shirt and their right wrist, and I told him, I said: 'Listen, don't try to get away,'" Kyle Myvett told WPEC. The report added that "Myvett said the neighborhood here in Southeast Cape Coral is usually pretty calm, so he left his vehicle unlocked."

Myvett is not just a man concerned about me and mine, but he showed concern for his neighbor and his community. He is obviously confident, vogueing for the camera in his Batman pajamas with ease and grace. We need more of this, and more Kyle Myvetts in the world.

Now this story out of New Orleans, Louisiana, is just pure joy. Five-year-old Cloe Woods heard the smoke alarm go off in her house, and recognized that there was a fire. So, she sprinted out of bed, quickly awakened her blind grandmother, and led her and the family dog to safety.

Stunning and brave!

Recalling a fall field trip to a firehouse with her prekindergarten class, 5-year-old Cloe Woods saved her blind grandmother from a fire inside their Kenner, Louisiana, home, a fire official in that New Orleans suburb said Saturday.

Kenner Fire Department District Chief Patrick Ardeneaux told CNN that Woods heard a smoke detector go off around 7 a.m. Wednesday, then went into another bedroom and woke up her blind grandmother.

The 5-year old then led her grandmother outside and to a neighbor’s house where they dialed 911, according to Ardeneaux.

Police and firefighters took it from there, working together to extinguish the blaze that they believe was sparked by food left on a stove.

Ardeneaux, the Kenner district fire chief, recalled that his department hosted Woods’ class during a field trip in October.

“All the schools come to the fire house, we show them around, give them a safety talk,” he said. “It just happened to stick with this one little girl.”

WATCH:

Cloe has a good head on her shoulders, and I pray she holds it high and continues to lead with clarity, alertness, and compassion. These stories represent short, sweet, but simple acts of humanity that make our world a better place.

I hope everyone has a lovely three-day weekend! Hold your loved ones close and be safe.
