Sometimes you've just got to laugh. This is one of those times; while Gavin Newsom presided over a Star Wars cantina scene of awful Democrats shouting about gerrymandering and illegal immigration - they're on the wrong side of both, but we knew that - the Border Patrol was just outside, arresting at least one illegal alien.

Too funny. (Note: Language alert, foul language from Democrat protestors in the video.)

Chief Greg Bovino offered a few words:

Chief Bovino: Well done, gentlemen! Well done!

Reporter: Mr. Bovino, from Fox11, can I get a quick comment from you?

Chief Bovino: Hey, what's going on here?

Reporter: How you doing? What happened?

Chief Bovino: We're here, ah, making Los Angeles a safer place, since we won't have politicians that will do that. We do that ourselves. So, that's why we're here today, as you can see, already making it a safer place, glad to be here, not going anywhere. 

Reporter: You know, the governor's right inside, right there. 

Chief Bovino: I didn't know that. I don't know where he's at. 

Reporter: He's about a hundred feet behind us. Do you have any comment for him or anything?

Chief Bovino: We're making Los Angeles and California a safer place. We're going to continue to do that. And, they can take that one to the bank. In cash. Thank you.

Inside the venue, a litany of dissembling was unfolding; one example came from one Sara Sadhwani, a California redistricting commissioner (why is a member of the independent redistricting committee at a Newsom political event?)

Note this remarkable outpouring of utter buncombe, drivel, and goo:

Outside the venue were not "masked gunmen," but federal law enforcement officers fulfilling their constitutional duties. 

They are not "kidnapping" people. They are arresting people who entered the country illegally, who remain in the country illegally, and by law, are required to be detained and repatriated.

These are facts. And Sara Sadhwani should know better, but liberals are never ones to let facts get in the way of a good rant.

This is the way these things should be handled. Let the left have their pressers, let them spread their horse squeeze far and wide. Every time they do, their polling numbers drop. And through it all, the Border Patrol, ICE, and other federal law enforcement will keep doing their jobs, the jobs they are finally being set free to do, their jobs that are defined in the Constitution and in federal statute. 

For four years, we saw the opposite priorities from the White House. Millions flooded in, unscreened, unchecked, unvetted. We don't even know where a lot of them came from. All that is changing now, and it's about time.
