NextImg:Essex Files: Natasha Cloud’s Reckless Taunts - a Slam Dunk for Division

Now picture this: a New York street corner, where an ICE agent, a father or mother, a neighbor, a patriot, who has kids, who watches the WNBA, stands ready to uphold the law, only to be met with jeers fueled by a celebrity athlete’s misguided words. This is the scene WNBA star Natasha Cloud seems to cheer on, as she taunts “Trumpies” and warns that ICE and President Trump will “learn the hard way” if they dare enforce federal law in New York City. Her latest social media stunt, bragging about “living rent free in the trumpies heads,” is a cheap shot. Plus, it’s a reckless play that fans the flames of division in a nation already on edge. New York Liberty should be a place for fun, watching female hoopsters, and enjoying the dance moves of their mascot, Ellie the Elephant. Yet Natasha Cloud put a damper on this experience.

Cloud’s outburst came after she threw her weight behind Zohran Mamdani, a self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist, aka communist, running for New York City mayor, who’s vowed to slam the door on ICE. In a post-game interview, she declared that New Yorkers “don’t f**k around” and will make life tough for federal agents doing their jobs. Then, doubling down on X, she gloated, “Y'all I made the Trumpers mad again. This is like an every week occurrence now.” Come on, Natasha, taunting half the country while threatening law enforcement isn’t activism; it’s a tantrum from someone who’s forgotten what it means to unite, not divide.

Let’s be clear: ICE agents aren’t storming into New York City to play villain in Cloud’s personal drama. They’re working to secure our borders, protect our communities, and uphold the rule of law—values that should bind us as Americans, not tear us apart. Cloud’s rhetoric, dripping with contempt for “Trumpies” and federal authority, reeks of the elite privilege she claims to fight.

Here’s a woman who’s made millions dribbling a basketball, yet she’s out here lecturing hardworking Americans about “dismantling the system” while cozying up to a candidate who’d rather shield illegal activity than support the law. If that’s not the radical left’s playbook, I don’t know what is.

This isn’t Cloud’s first rodeo. She’s called America “trash,” demanded Trump’s impeachment over foreign policy she barely seems to understand, and even spun fouls against Caitlin Clark into cries of racism. Her pattern is clear: Stir the pot, play the victim, and dodge accountability. But words have meaning, as Rush Limbaugh would say, and when a public figure with her platform hurls veiled threats at ICE agents, folks risking their lives to keep us safe, she’s not just wrong; she’s dangerous. New Yorkers deserve better than a mayor who’d turn their city into a lawless sanctuary, and they sure don’t need athletes egging on the chaos.

The rule of law isn’t a game, and neither is our nation’s security. President Trump and his border czar, Tom Homan, are fighting to restore order, not to bully anyone. They’re standing up for Americans who want safe streets, secure borders, and a government that puts Americans first.

Cloud’s sneering at “Trumpies” and her cheerleading for Mamdani’s anti-ICE crusade only deepen the divide between those who respect the law and those who’d rather grandstand for clout. If she truly cared about justice, she’d be thanking the agents who keep her city safe, not mocking them. It’s time to slam the brakes on this kind of divisive nonsense. We’re Americans, not enemies. We can disagree without threatening those who serve or demonizing half the country as “Trumpies.” Let’s rally behind leaders who uphold the law, not those who’d tear it down for a soundbite. As I’ve said before, conservatives know how to fight against the radical left’s chaos—and this is one battle we can’t afford to lose. Speak up, folks, and let’s show Cloud and her allies that America’s heart beats for unity, not division.

Editor’s Note: Zohran Mamdani is an avowed Democratic Socialist and has a real chance to become the next mayor of New York City.
