There aren't many things out there that will make a grown man tear up. Watching 32,000-pound fighter jets fly by in full afterburner with "God Bless the U.S.A." playing in the background is one of them.
The Navy's Blue Angels have been a staple of Americana for decades, thrilling audiences and bestowing a sense of national pride like few others can. The first time I saw them at an air show as a child, I was mesmerized. The low passes and the tight formations were incredible, and the sound of freedom was unforgettable. There's nothing quite like the feeling you get in your chest as an F-18 thunders over your head.
As an adult, I've since gone to the Pensacola Naval Air Station several times to watch the Angels practice over the years. Is it the same show I've seen many times at this point? Sure. Do I care? Not a bit. There's just something special about the combination of precision, thrill, and military history. It's the kind of thing that brings together the masses from all backgrounds to provide joy to people of all ages.
Naturally, that means Democrats must try to destroy them.
As RedState reported, left-wing activists are currently trying to cancel the Blue Angels, who have long performed at the annual "Seafair Torchlight Parade" in Seattle. Laughably, one woman is suing two of the squadron's pilots because she claims the sound of their Super Hornets killed her cat. I'm not kidding, but there's a broader movement at play, and if you are at all politically astute, you've likely already guessed it's about "climate change."
A billboard recently went up in the area, headlined with the demand to "Say No to the Blue Angels." Below it are pictures of children clutching their ears, a dog, and a Muslim woman wearing a hijab (because, of course, there is). Beside them are the claims that the Angels are "Too Loud," cause "War Trauma," and create "Pollution."
What you have to understand about your typical left-wing Democrat is that they are listless. Because many of them lack any true religious conviction, they have created their own under the guise of things like "climate change." Instead of deriving their purpose from God, they derive it from temperature projections from the United Nations. It's more than that, though, because at the end of the day, the cause is not the cause.

For the activists behind this push, their attempt to cancel the Blue Angels isn't really about the Navy burning jet fuel. Rather, it is about supposed American colonial evil, and thus, the Angels must be banished. They simply make too many people happy and proud of their country, and they can't have that. The destruction of the culture is the point, and part of that is suckng the joy of everything Americans hold dear, all to prop up their greater push toward third-world Marxist idealism.
You will own nothing, and you will be happy. You will not watch fighter jets blast by in formation. You will ride public transportation. You will eat bugs, and you will buy your bugs from a government-owned grocery store. All of this is about one goal: Destroying Western civilization. That may sound dramatic, but it's the reality of the situation.
