NextImg:Democrat Self-Destructs During Discussion on Anti-ICE Violence, Proves Larger Point in the Process

As we've extensively documented, Democrats have taken the gaslighting to new heights since Donald Trump's second presidential term began, with some of the worst offenders being those who deny leftist violence is happening, refuse to condemn it when it's clear it has happened, and/or incite it with their incendiary words and actions.

Some of the more notorious examples are Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass denying that any anti-ICE rioting took place in her city, and Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) seeming to deny that attacks on ICE had ramped up amid the escalation in rhetoric among Democrat members of Congress.

As we reported, in mid-July, Nadler was asked by a reporter about the increase in attacks on ICE. His answer, incredibly, was "What attacks on ICE agents?" even as assaults on immigration enforcement agents have risen by 830 percent in the first six months.

But sometimes Democrats walk into traps of their own making, which is exactly what played out during a segment of "CNN NewsNight" on Thursday, when GOP analyst and Salem Media radio host Scott Jennings squared off against Young Turks host Ana Kasparian on violence against ICE and how Democrats were openly encouraging it at this point.

Kasparian was outraged and acted as though there was no evidence of that because, in her view, it wasn't happening. It didn't take 60 seconds, however, before she was essentially acknowledging it was taking place and making excuses for it, proving Jennings' point.

Here's the gist of their contentious back and forth:

JENNINGS: "Democrats right now and people on the left are encouraging violence against people who want to serve in ICE."

KASPARIAN: "You're just gonna make a declarative statement without a shred of evidence? How are Democrats encouraging?"

JENNINGS: "Democrats every day are calling them the GESTAPO."

KASPARIAN: "Well, they do act like Gestapo!"

JENNINGS: "Now YOU'RE doing it. I assume you condone the violence! Do you condone the violence?"

KASPARIAN: "Those people who do that get arrested and should be."

JENNINGS: "And why are they doing that? They've been told ICE agents are GESTAPO."

KASPARIAN: "When they see their [family] members [being arrested] that leads to a lot of rage, and they retaliate! I'm not saying they should!"

JENNINGS: "Sounds like you're condoning it."

KASPARIAN: "Someone messes with my family, I get violent!"

JENNINGS: "OK, good to know."

KASPARIAN: "Don't be surprised when people feel angry when they feel there's a bunch of feds in their city..."

JENNINGS: "There's a violent streak in the country right now..."

Here's the thing: Some Democrats want to have it both ways on this. They want to accuse the feds of acting like the Gestapo, which is a very serious, very heavy allegation, and say we shouldn't be surprised when defenders of illegal immigrants retaliate the way they do. Then they turn around and state that anyone who commits a violent act against an agent should be arrested and charged for it?

That makes no sense. A person either truly believes ICE agents are engaging in Gestapo behavior and that fighting back against that is justified, or they don't truly believe Gestapo-like tactics are taking place and are just saying that because everyone else on their side is.

My money is on them really believing immigration enforcement agents are the US version of the Gestapo and that pushback, even if it involves violent means, is the way, in their view. There's just no other way to interpret it.

As Jennings indicated, there is indeed a violent streak in America right now, and it's by and large being stoked by Democrat "leaders" much in the same way it was when there were two attempts on Donald Trump's life in a presidential election year.

Prove me wrong.

Editor’s Note: Democrat politicians and their radical supporters will do everything they can to interfere with and threaten ICE agents enforcing our immigration laws.
