Like the proverbial bad penny, the "progressive activist," gun-ban advocate, leftist, and all-around annoying little twerp David Hogg just keeps popping up. His latest appearance was at the Hill Nation Summit on Wednesday, when he went to bat for the communist New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. Predictably, Hogg went back to the left's same old well, characterizing the criticism of Mamdani as - you guessed it - racist.
Progressive activist David Hogg defended Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor, at the Hill Nation Summit on Wednesday.
“A lot of stuff that I think is very, you know, racist,” Hogg said of some criticisms of Mamdani, pausing before the last word. “A lot of times it wasn’t even focused on his actual policy, it was more focused on him and his identity.”
To David Hogg, I would only say, "Communist isn't a race, you jackwagon." But Democrats and the legacy media (but I repeat myself) always run back to this particular well. The problem is that the claims of "racism" are just another helping of the stuff one finds at the south end of a northbound horse. In all the criticism of Zohran Mamdani in he alternative media - like, say, RedState - you won't find one criticism of his race or his "identity." It's all rightly focused on his soft, pampered upbringing, his support for Hamas, and his ruinous communist plans for what was once one of the world's greatest cities.
Mr. Hogg wasn't done yet:
Mamdani was in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, where he met with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and other Democrats.
Hogg backed Mamdani in the New York City mayoral Democratic primary. He has pressed for changes within the Democratic Party that would give more power to progressives, as well as younger generations of Democrats.
Hogg at the Hill Nation Summit said he believed some of his ideas would win out because he would “outlive” many of those opposed to his ideas.
That's what commies always claim: That their ideas will win, that liberty, private property, all the aspects of a free society will be swept into the "dustbin of history." The problem is, they're always wrong. They were wrong in the Soviet Union, they are wrong in Communist China, which has only survived this long because they instituted the very minimum of free-market reforms they could manage - and their economy is still a giant house of cards. Mamdani is just the latest in a long list of commie aspirants, who will loudly proclaim that the other efforts failed by invoking the No True Scotsman fallacy, claiming they "weren't real socialism," and all socialism needs is the right Top Men to make a Utopia.
Zohran Mamdani isn't such a Top Man. In an actual by-gosh communist dictatorship, he'd be no more than a mid-level apparatchik. Nor is David Hogg, who falls more into the category of "useful idiot."
Zohran Mamdani's not being criticized for his background. He's being criticized for policy proposals that would reduce New York City to a dystopian communist craphole.

None of that stops David Hogg from playing that race card, again, tiresomely.
Honestly, why would anyone listen to this guy, much less take him seriously?
