On Friday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton scored a quick victory after he asked a court to put a hold on Beto O'Rourke and his group, Powered by People, from funding or fundraising for the runaway Texas Democrats. Tarrant County District Judge Megan Fahey handed down a temporary restraining order within hours.
Paxton's move was part of an effort to force the Texas House Democrats to return after they fled the state to break the quorum so that a redistricting plan that could help Republicans would not pass.

That caused Beto O'Rourke to pitch a hissy fit on X.
O’Rourke said Paxton was trying to “make examples out of those who fight so that others won’t.”
Paxton is trying to shut down Powered by People, one of the largest voter registration organizations in the country, because our volunteers fight for voting rights and free elections...the kind of work that threatens the hold that Paxton, Trump and Abbott have on power in Texas.
O'Rourke said he would be speaking out against them at a rally on Saturday.
Hasn't Beto gotten used to losing yet? No, Paxton was trying to get the runaway Democrats to stop acting like children and come back to do their jobs. The problem for Democrats is that they are outnumbered in Texas and they can't handle it - that's the bottom line.
Attorney General Paxton wasn't having any of Beto's whine. He told him to "Cry more, lib."
As we noted, the runaway Democrats are running out of options. They look hypocritical in their stance since they ran to blue states that have made an art out of gerrymandering. They're talking about "democracy," but they're the ones standing in the way of it and things getting done for the people in Texas just because they don't want to lose.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said he would continue to call special sessions until the runaway Democrats returned, and that if they don't return soon, he might seek to expand the redistricting map even more. So the map might not just add 5 potential seats, but as many as 8. He also chastised the Democrats for turning their backs on their Texas constituents. One way or another, he said, the Democrats were coming back.

So the Democrats are not helping themselves, with their losing strategy. Things are only going to get worse for them. And the longer they stay away, the more you can argue they have abandoned their seats.
Editor’s Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
