Country superstar Jason Aldean has responded to a plea from 13-year-old honorary Secret Service agent, DJ Daniel, who asked him for his help to do a country show to "raise money for kids with cancer."

It all started when Daniel, who's battled cancer since 2018, posted a video on social media in which he asked if anyone knew Jason Aldean and if they could help him get a message to the country singer that they wanted to put on a benefit concert.

"Hey, does anybody know Jason Aldean?" Daniel said. "'Cause we're trying to do a country show down here to raise money for kids with cancer."

On Thursday, the 48-year-old country star posted a video on Instagram, along with his response to the request, aided by country singer Darius Rucker.

"Hey DJ, heard u were looking for me…" Aldean captioned his post in the clip of him standing next to Rucker.

"Hey DJ, what's up? It's Darius Rucker, and guess what, I heard you," Rucker said. "I know Jason Aldean."

"Hey, what's up, DJ," Aldean said, stepping into the shot. "Jason Aldean here. I got your message, and I want to get you out to a show. Let's talk more about doing a show or doing something to help the kids that you were talking about, and we'll be in touch, my man."

Daniel, who always wanted to be a police officer, famously appeared at President Donald Trump's Joint Address to Congress, during which the president named the young man an honorary member of the United States Secret Service.

RedState reported that:

One of the most meaningful moments in President Donald Trump's speech Tuesday night was when a young man from Texas, "who truly loves our police," DJ Daniel, was made an honorary member of the United States Secret Service. Daniel, who is 13 years old now, was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2018 and given five months to live. Thankfully, that prediction was wrong, and since that time, DJ and his father "have been on a quest to make his dream come true," Trump explained, and "DJ has been sworn in as an honorary law enforcement officer many times," with various agencies across the country.

Daniel's been battling cancer since the age of 8, and recently, DJ's father shared a heartbreaking update about his son's condition.

DJ, who was given five months to live after being diagnosed with incurable brain and spine cancer in 2018, has "three new tumors," his father, Theodis Daniel, told Fox 7 Austin last week.

"It's rough, there isn't a class that can teach you how to deal with it. You're hearing that your child has a nasty disease," the heartbroken dad said.

"We're just going around showing people, hey, you do care for one another. Let's give compassion, and let's try to join and help each other get through things," he added.

The White House also posted on X, sending prayers to Daniel after the news surfaced.

We are sending prayers to DJ and his family, too, for his full recovery. As this is a developing story, RedState will keep you posted.
