One of the things I like about Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) is that he believes he has a responsibility to keep the public informed about what he's doing in Congress and he regularly tweets on X about what he is doing in Congress.
He delivered important news on DOGE cuts and President Donald Trump's Executive Orders.
Burchett said he was introducing three bills to codify Executive Orders.
First was ending funding for NPR and PBS, which was also being addressed in the DOGE cuts. "They don't need to use our money to do it," Burchett said.
The second was to provide regulatory relief to promote domestic production of critical medicines for the country so we don't have to be reliant on other countries like China.
“It's crazy that we rely on other places like China," he said. "It needs to be produced in this country. It's a national security issue."
Third was dealing with gain-of-function research, biological agents and pathogens.
"We gotta take control of this thing," he asserted.
It's important to codify them so they can't be overturned after Trump leaves office. He had previously promised he would do it and was delivering on that promise.

Burchett also advised that they'd received DOGE bills and those bills were now moving through Congress.
So that sounds like we'll be having action there.
Then he also had a little fun with the guy he refers to as his "stalker/tracker" who regularly tries to ask him "gotcha" questions when he walks by, to and from Congress.
"Are you worried that your vote to gut Medicaid will shutter hospitals in your district?" the man asks.
Of course, Burchett didn't "vote to gut Medicaid"; he voted for a bill that cut waste and abuse in the Medicaid system. That's the simple, straight answer. But Burchett's response was funnier.
"Are you worried that you are not featured in the latest 'Stranger Things' edition?" Burchett replied.
Burchett has dropped this guy in the dust before, to much laughter from the public.

All that guy is doing is showing how quick and funny Burchett is, so I don't think he's achieving what he wants if the point is to put Burchett on the spot or make him look silly.
