Comedian Bill Maher is confounding, I have to admit—he says a number of things that are right on the money and regularly nukes progressive insanity, but then he crawls right back into his leftist corner and declares that Trump is the devil. Did he miss the last four years of Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer et al as they launched an unprecedented assault on virtually everything that made America great?
On his HBO “Real Time” show Friday night, he continued to drop heat on the extremist Democrats but once again refused to admit that he’s on the wrong side of history with his continued support of them. If you’re looking for an explanation, I don’t have one, because the guy is a walking contradiction.
We’ll give him kudos for when he’s on target, though, and here he was explaining how a mindless reality show exposed all that is wrong with the soulless Democrat wing of our republic:
Maher highlighted one of the brain-melting “reality” shows that are now regular fare on our networks and showed how one woke liberal female indicated how far adrift progressives have gone:
HBO host Bill Maher used a woke moment from the finale of a hit reality TV series on Friday to illustrate how the Democratic Party could lose future elections.
During his closing monologue from “Real Time with Bill Maher,” the host highlighted “Love Is Blind” season eight star Sara Carlton walking away from her wedding to co-star Ben Mezzenga because he didn’t have strong enough pro-Black Lives Matter views.
Referencing a question he posed last week on the show to Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif. Maher wondered, “But how are the Democrats going to blow it this time? This is how: Posturing, purity tests, the politics of ‘I unfriend you if you’re not exactly with me 1000 percent,’” he said, comparing liberals’ current political perspective to Carlton’s dating standards.
As Maher explained, the “Love Is Blind” season eight finale featured Carlton walking out on Mezzenga at the altar because they weren’t on the same “wavelength.” Elsewhere during the episode, Carlton told her relatives that Mezzenga’s views on BLM were a dealbreaker.

Maher pointed out that with the state of today’s histrionic woke young women in America, many red-blooded patriotic males may have trouble ever becoming fathers. He referenced this absurd moment in the reality show:
“I remember I asked him about Black Lives Matter, and I’m no expert, but when I asked him about it, he was like, ‘I guess I never really thought too much about it,” she said.
“And that’s when Sara realized she would rather die alone,” Maher quipped after playing a clip from the show.
He mentioned other areas where Mezzenga fell short on Carlton’s deeply held views. “To be fair to Sara, it wasn’t just Black Lives Matter. Ben also didn’t have much to say on the vaccine,” he said, adding a sarcastic tone. “And his position on trans was basically, ‘I don’t know I guess.’ Sarah’s sister is gay and when she told that to Ben, Ben said he had ‘no discomfort around that community at all.’”
I would praise Maher for his spot-on critique, but he’s just as likely next week to go on another unhinged, clinging-to-the-past monologue as ever.

I want to like him, but I just can’t. Get with the freaking program, Bill—you as much as any media figure has been instrumental in pointing out the foibles of the progressives and their blood-sworn allies, the corrupt media. Why can’t you seem to figure out that despite your sometimes excellent observations, you are very much part of the problem?
America dodged a bullet when Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris at the ballot box.
One reason why he won is because conservative outlets like RedState kept bringing you the unvarnished truth, and we didn’t try to gaslight you like the mainstream media did.
