NextImg:Biden W.H. Staffer Admits Dems Have Been Wrong on Both Message and Messengers Since Obama Years

Democrats have been off message for quite some time—now, they’re starting to realize just how far off they’ve been. Republicans have naturally known from the beginning that men should not play against women in sports. That’s common sense. Democrats didn’t know that, apparently. Of course, some still support the idea. Regardless, many prominent Democrats have looked in the mirror and they’re not liking what they see. By mirror, I mean the reality that young men have left the parties in droves.

Republicans and Democrats have always worked to win over young male voters. For many years, Democrats have gone after young men who liked to watch the WNBA—before Caitlin Clark even came along. They’re now realizing that strategy has cost them dearly with normal, young working-class male voters. Democrats are planning to spend $20 million to study what they’ve code-named “SAM” or “Speaking to American Men.” The Daily Mail put it this way:

Democrats have been baffled as to why younger male voters are abandoning the party after the demographic swung to the right for Donald Trump in the November election.

Looking ahead to the 2026 midterms and the next presidential election, Democrats are strategizing how to win back young male voters after the Trump campaign successfully harnessed big names online including Joe Rogan and Theo Von.

One project obtained by The New York Times revealed a $20 million plan code-named SAM — short for 'Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan' — and promises investment to 'study the syntax, language and content that gains attention and virality in these spaces.

Democrats Promote a New 'Shadow Cabinet' to Regain Power, and You Might Need to Sit Down First

Outside of the simple hilarity of it all, Democrats are searching for a solution. A former Biden White House staffer openly admitted Democrats have a messaging problem—but also admits they need to ditch the Obama-era messengers as well.

MIKE EMANUEL: “So the Democratic Party approval rating in a recent NBC News poll is down to 27 percent, particularly struggling with young male voters. Yemisi, how does your party turn it around?”

YEMISI EGBEWOLE: “Well, I am glad that the Democratic Party is focusing on young male voters. Now, we’ve seen them inch more and more and more to the right as the years have gone by. And what we’ve dismissed as just the fringes we now know is the mainstream. Podcasters, streamers, TikTokers, those are the people that are getting the attention of young male voters. But look, virality isn’t what grabs an entire demographic to the left. We have to still talk about concrete issues. And we also have to figure out how to speak to a younger audience. And what I see as a little bit concerning is that a lot of the strategists that helped Barack Obama come up with yes, we can — in 2007, 2008 are, in 2025, still determining the direction of the party. And so we change the messaging, yes, but we got to change some of the messengers as well.”

Wow, some harsh words for Obama bros. You have to give them credit for trying, but it’s not the messengers; it’s that the message is wrong. Republicans have gained ground with young working-class voters because we speak in real terms—we speak the truth. The Biden administration told us the border was secure. That was a lie. Leading Democrats who say they care about the environment are taking private jets to those same climate events. Republicans believe in school choice and parental rights. These are just a few simple facts. Democrats have been on the opposing side of each of these simple arguments.

The reality of what has happened? Young working-class men with brains saw what the Democratic Party was supporting and simply chose President Trump over the continued insanity. I don’t know how the Democrats' new plan to “speak with American men” will go, but it will sure be fun to watch them try.
