NextImg:Bernie Sanders Has Never Had a Real Job, yet Says Dems Must 'Stand With Working People'

If you're looking for a guy who wants to lecture you on how to relate to working Americans, wouldn't you choose someone who has, at some point in their lives, you know, worked?

That seems a logical condition, which makes it all the more baffling that anyone listens to the daffy old Bolshevik from Vermont, Bernie Sanders (net worth, $15 million) when it comes this issue. But listen, they do, to a daffy old guy who, after failing as a carpenter, entered politics, stayed in politics, and grew rich off of politics. CNN's Dana Bash listens to him:

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., called out former Vice President Kamala Harris and her campaign on Sunday for being influenced by wealthy people in 2024 and failing to speak to working families.

CNN's "State of the Union" host Dana Bash pressed Sanders on a statement he made on one of his "Fighting Oligarchy" tour stops about the former vice president.

Bash played a clip of Sanders telling the crowd, "One of the reasons, in my view, that Kamala Harris lost this election is she had too many billionaires telling her not to speak up for the working-class of this country."

The CNN host reacted to the clip and said, "ouch."

Let's be honest, there were a million reasons Kamala Harris lost this (2024) election, and her having too many billionaires advising her wasn't in the top ten of those reasons - or the top 500. She lost, primarily, because her personality is abrasive and grating, her cackling laugh is off-putting, she has all of the charm and charisma of a carbuncle, and in all candor, she's not terribly smart. She ran one of the worst presidential campaigns in history, and she was up against a guy who actually did appeal to the working class - by promising jobs, by promising to keep boys off working class people's daughters' sports teams and out of their locker rooms, by promising cheaper gasoline, and by promising to get millions of illegal aliens out of our country - and he's following through.

We might also remember that Bernie used to complain about millionaires until he became one (remember that net worth? $15 million). Now he complains about billionaires. He's the very definition of a one-trick pony.

But here's the really funny part of the Bash interview:

"I think the clue to Democratic victories is to understand that you’ve got to stand unequivocally with the working class of this country. You need an agenda that speaks to the needs of working people," Sanders said.

He went on to call for guaranteed healthcare for all Americans and an increased minimum wage.

"Is it [a] radical idea to say that in the midst of a competitive global economy, we need to make sure we have the best educated workforce that all of our kids, regardless of income, should be able to get a higher education? These ideas exist all over the world. They don’t exist in America, and they don’t exist because of the power of the oligarchs, economically and politically," he said.

Bernie is, and always has been, deficient in the "clue" department. This is one more illustration of that.

Bernie and his compatriots on the left have overseen the utter collapse of America's education systems. The only places Bernie's ideas exist "all over the world" are in places like North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela. Socialism has failed every time it's been tried, and yet we still see young skulls full of mush supporting a daffy old kook like Bernie Sanders, or the equally clue-impaired Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and the commie currently in the lead to be the next mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani. AOC, I will admit, has at least had one honest job in her life - tending bar, which can't be said for the commie Mamdani.

Working Americans don't want endless promises of free Schiff. They want jobs, they want to be able to buy a house, and to take a road trip on their vacation without taking out a second mortgage to buy gas. That's something the left just doesn't get, and that may well be because, like Bernie Sanders, so many of them have never held an honest job.

Let's hope they never figure it out.
