As we've seen, Israel is currently engaged in an ambitious campaign to make sure an appropriate application of high explosives disassembles Iran's nuclear facilities. They're decapitating Iran's military, too, while they're at it, and taking a number of Iran's nuclear scientists and engineers off the board, as well.
They aren't working in a vacuum. While Israel is returning Iran's nuclear program to rocks and dust, United States CENTCOM forces have taken a notorious ISIS goblin off the board in Syria; one Rakhim Boev, an ISIS official, may only now be properly referred to in the past tense.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces killed a Syria-based ISIS official during an airstrike in the northern part of Syria on Tuesday, according to officials.
CENTCOM shared news about the strike in a social media post on Thursday.
"On June 10, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Forces conducted a precision airstrike in Northwest Syria killing Rakhim Boev, a Syria-based ISIS official who was involved in planning external operations threatening U.S. citizens, our partners, and civilians," CENTCOM said. "This airstrike is part of CENTCOM's ongoing commitment, alongside regional partners, to disrupt and degrade efforts by terrorists to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against U.S. forces and our allies."
On Thursday, CENTCOM broke the news as well on X:
The post continues:
This airstrike is part of CENTCOM's ongoing commitment, alongside regional partners, to disrupt and degrade efforts by terrorists to plan, organize, and conduct attacks against U.S. forces and our allies.
That photo has all the hallmarks of the infamous Ginsu missile. Leave it to the United States to come up with a smart weapon filled with swords, proving that only the USA can bring a knife to a gunfight and win.
This, along with the attacks Israel has launched on Iran, is making bad terrorists into good terrorists. That's worth doing, every day and twice on Sunday.

Trump Drops an All-Time Troll on Iran, As What Happened Behind the Scenes Comes Into View (Updated)
Last month, President Trump lifted U.S. sanctions on Syria after the collapse of the brutal government of Bashar al-Assad and the assumption of the Syrian presidency by Ahmed al-Sharaa. Ahmed al-Sharaa, though, is a former al-Qaeda operative, and still heads up Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which is designated as a terror group by the United States and the United Nations. Having him in charge of Syria is rather like having a rattlesnake in the corncrib. He kills a lot of rats, but you can never completely trust him.
And the corncrib itself, we should note, is a little shaky on its foundation.
Syria is not a united nation as conflict persists across the country among varying minority groups, former regime loyalists and terrorist organizations like ISIS.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio also warned lawmakers last month that Syria could be just "weeks" away from a "potential collapse and a full-scale civil war of epic proportions."
The Middle East is, and likely always will be, a tense and troublesome part of the world. But the good guys have won a few key points in the last few days, and turning people like Rakhim Boev into flying spare parts is always worth the effort; any other ISIS leaders are doubtless keeping a nervous eye on the skies, and if nothing else, it distracts them from their plotting.
This seems appropriate.
Editor's Note: Thanks to President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's leadership, the warrior ethos is coming back to America's military.
