Nine tornadoes have been reported in Oklahoma and Kansas, causing more than a dozen injuries.

According to local authorities, a home had been observed to have been destroyed. Trees have been seen toppled over as well as power lines were knocked out in Liberal, Kansas, near the state line with Oklahoma

On Monday, the National Weather Service issued wind advisories for those Oklahoma and Kansas, as well as 14 others in the Midwest and Southeast.

The National Weather Service had received tips about seven tornadoes that were in Oklahoma as well as two additional in Kansas on Sunday. Storm-hit communities in the states are assessing storm damage on Monday.

Winds were reportedly as high as 114 mph were recorded in Memphis, Texas, and communities in Oklahoma and Kansas experienced gusts of more over 80 mph.
