Wordle 650 4/6

Have you seen the meme of John Cusack from “Say Anything” holding up a Wordle puzzle instead of a boombox?

That’s usually how I feel each week. I have no strategy; everything is a last-ditch effort. My approach is wild-style: I like tossing in a completely random word to kick things off and go from there. I’ve only recently started back up again: A group of die-hard friends got me back into the game after we vacationed together and playing became a daily ritual. Now we share our results in a WhatsApp and that camaraderie keeps me hooked. This word nearly took me out — my inner monologue ranged from “WTF” to “you cheeky bast- …” — but somehow my brain pulled it together for a sweet victory. Happy trails, everyone!

Today’s word is EVERY. According to Webster’s New World College Dictionary, it’s an adjective meaning “each, individually,” as in phrases like “every person among you.”

Today’s Statistics

Today’s word is moderately challenging because of the unfamiliarity of its letter pattern.

The letter pattern is unique enough that the answer can usually be found using elimination strategies within six guesses, but the word has duplicated letters, making it tricky.

Mr. Pernice injects his personality and style into brand illustrations using a variety of details, textures and messages. “I’m not that interested in making obvious pictorial illustration and I don’t want to shoehorn in overused visual iconography unless there’s a bit of a fun twist or mystery,” he said in an interview with It’s Nice That.
