Multiple people were stabbed at a Walmart in Traverse City, Mich., on Saturday afternoon, according to the Michigan State Police.

One person was in custody, the State Police said on social media a little after 6 p.m. local time, adding that details about what happened were limited.

Emergency responders were on the scene and there was no danger to the public, Grand Traverse 911 said on Facebook.

The post asked residents to avoid Walmart and other businesses in the area.
