On Thursday night, Miley Cyrus returned to a familiar place as she appeared poolside before a crowd of about 200 to perform her smash hit “Flowers” at the celebrity haunt Chateau Marmont.

The Grammy-winning pop star hasn’t toured since 2022, and has said she’s “tired of sleeping on a moving bus,” but recently she’s been performing for small crowds at the storied hotel in West Hollywood, Calif., taking the microphone for several sultry lounge-singer style performances.

This time, it was to celebrate scents, specifically Gucci Flora, the perfume that Ms. Cyrus has been the face of since 2021. The intermingling of fame and fashion was thick in the air.

“Why am I singing and you’re not?” Ms. Cyrus asked as she swayed before the crowd wearing a little black Gucci dress with a chunky gold necklace and black sunglasses.
