A grand jury in Georgia indicted a 14-year-old boy and his father on murder charges on Thursday, accusing the teen of carrying out a deadly shooting at his high school last month, and his father of allowing him access to the murder weapon.

Prosecutors said the grand jury handed up an array of charges stemming from the attack at Apalachee High School in Winder, Ga., on Sept. 4, which left two students and two teachers dead.

The boy, Colt Gray, was arrested and charged with murder after the shooting. The authorities also arrested and charged his father, Colin Gray, 54, saying that he bore some responsibility because he had given his son the semiautomatic rifle used in the attack.

The dozens of charges handed up by the grand jury for Colt Gray include counts of malice and felony murder, as well as involuntary manslaughter and cruelty to children, according to court records. Colin Gray faces counts of second-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and cruelty to children.
