In civilian life, drones can create light shows or capture video of landscapes. They were reported as U.F.O.s across New Jersey last year.
And in war, countries are stocking their arsenals with drones, and civilians now dread their approach. Russia sent more than 800 exploding drones and decoys into Ukraine in just one night last week. Israel, Iran and the Houthis have lobbed them at each other. The United States is pouring money into this tech.
We want to know: What questions do you have about drones? It might concern warfare, surveillance or anything else.
We plan to have Times reporters answer some of these questions in an upcoming edition of The Morning newsletter. We won’t publish your response without following up with you, verifying your information and hearing back from you. And we won’t share your contact information outside the Times newsroom.
