More On:

Angus Cloud

The release date and trailer has finally been announced for one of Angus Cloud’s final projects.

Prior to his death from an accidental overdose in July, Cloud starred in Daniel Brown’s directorial feature Your Lucky Day. In this action thriller, Cloud plays Sterling, a troubled drug dealer who takes a convenience store hostage when someone goes to redeem their winning $156 million lottery ticket.

The evening goes awry when the hostage situation takes a deadly turn and others set their own sights on the winning ticket.

Your Lucky Day stars Jessica Garza, Elliot Knight, Sterling Beaumon, and Mousa Hussein Kraish.

This feature marks one of the final acting roles Cloud took on before his tragic passing. Brown said the Euphoria star’s “stories and outlook were so right on for the character,” telling Entertainment Weekly, “I just had to go for it.”

“As with all things Angus, what I remember was his kindness and enthusiasm for others,” Brown said. “He was one of one.”

This actor will also appear in Freaky Tales, another posthumous release that is in post-production.

Prior to his passing, Cloud became an audience-favorite on the hit HBO series Euphoria. He played an integral role on the show, so much so series creator Sam Levinson decided against having his character, Fezco, killed off the series at least twice.

“I just thought, if this goes away, I don’t know what’s going to happen in his life,” Levinson recalled. He claimed he then told producers that Fezco had to live, saying, “I can’t do it. I can’t kill him. We got to keep him around. He’s too special. It doesn’t matter what the f—ing story is.”

Your Lucky Day premieres in theaters on Nov. 11 and will be available on demand on Nov. 14.
