A variation of your favorite fast-food item is on the menu — but you’ll need a plane ticket to get one.

Seven years after discontinuing snack wraps, McDonald’s announced they are planning on bringing the fan-favorite item back, but one country already has it on the menu, with a twist.

Instead of the original Snack Wraps that McDonald’s lovers remember — consisting of chicken, lettuce, shredded cheese and sauce wrapped in a warm tortilla — hot dogs are the main attraction of the wrap in South Korea.

The “Sausage Snack Wrap” consists of a hot dog-style pork sausage, bacon, lettuce, tomato and smoky bacon sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla.

McDonald’s locations across South Korea first launched the hot dog snack wrap in 2022 as a limited-time item, according to Tasting Table.

However, it appears to have made a comeback, labeled as “new” on the menu, as seen on the fast-food giant’s South Korea website. The Sausage Snack Wrap is currently listed as costing 3,900 won (the South Korean currency), which is $2.99 USD.

The revelation of South Korea’s Sausage Snack Wrap comes shortly after McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger confirmed that the Snack Wrap will return — but as an updated version.

The Snack Wraps will be part of the fast food chain’s McCrispy (previously called the “Crispy Chicken Sandwich”) line.

According to a news release, the McCrispy will be offered in “nearly all markets” around the world in 2025, and will eventually expand to include tenders and, you guessed it, wraps.

Unfortunately, there’s no specific release timeline for the new and improved Snack Wrap.
