The Yankees’ rotation has a new odd man out.
This time it will be Marcus Stroman whose turn will be skipped as the club trims a six-man rotation down to five.
Stroman recently has been the weakest link, having allowed eight runs in nine innings in September to spike his season ERA to 4.07.
Gerrit Cole, Luis Gil, Carlos Rodon, Clarke Schmidt and Nestor Cortes remain in the rotation after Cortes had been skipped last week.
The lefty expressed frustration at the time and has responded with 9 1/3 innings in which he’s surrendered one run.
Stroman, whose turn would have arrived Sunday, instead will be available out of the bullpen Sunday, manager Aaron Boone said before the Yankees played the Red Sox in The Bronx on Friday.
Boone informed Stroman of the development on Thursday and said the righty took the news in stride.
“Whatever you need,” Boone said Stroman told him, “I’ll be ready to go.”
