The Yankees are heading south of the border.
The Yankees announced Friday they will play a pair of games in Mexico City on March 24 and 25 against Diablos Rojos del Mexico from the Mexican League at Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium.
It will be the Yankees’ first trip to Mexico since 1968, when they also faced Diablos Rojos in exhibition games.
Mexico City is also slated to host MLB regular season games in April between the Astros and Rockies.
Other Yankees players will also compete in Grapefruit League games in Florida on March 24 and 25 to finish spring training before they open the regular season on March 28 in Houston.
The Yankees open their spring training schedule on Feb. 24 against the Tigers in Lakeland, Fla. and host their first Grapefruit League game against the Phillies the following day at Steinbrenner Field.
