A squirrel may have stolen the spotlight from the Yankees-Orioles game on Tuesday night.

TV cameras caught a squirrel scurrying along part of the Yankees wall, giving jump scares to fans along the way before jumping off the perch, flying through the air onto the field.

“Look at the faces on the fans,” YES’ Michael Kay said.

“He sticks the landing much better than we would, I’ll tell you that,” said broadcast partner Paul O’Neill, who gave viewers confirmation that the squirrel was not hurt following the daring jump.

The squirrel and these Yankees fans most likely didn’t expect to go viral, but the video tweeted out by YES Network already has over 25 thousand views as of the bottom of the seventh inning of the game.

Tuesday night’s game is the first of three between the two teams, and if the Yankees pull out the win, it will be their fifth in a row.

The Orioles are in second in the AL East, trailing behind the Rays and in front of the Yankees with a 31-16 record.

The Orioles hold a 5-4 lead over the Yankees. The game is in the ninth inning.
