BOSTON – The Yankees are on the board, bringing Jazz to a lineup in need of help.
The club is acquiring outfielder/second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. in a trade with the Marlins, The Post’s Jon Heyman and Joel Sherman confirmed Saturday.
Catching prospect Agustin Ramirez is one of the prospects headed back to Miami in the deal ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline.
The Yankees are banking on the 26-year-old Chisholm, a left-handed hitter who is under team control through 2026, providing a boost to a lineup that has largely struggled outside of Aaron Judge and Juan Soto.
It was not immediately clear where the Yankees plan to play Chisholm, who started the year playing center field but had recently moved back to second base.
Gleyber Torres, in his walk year, had struggled mightily to start the season but appeared to be turning the corner over the last few weeks.
