Maren Morris was “shocked” to see fellow country music singer Morgan Wade on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills amid those Kyle Richards romance rumors.

Morris, a RHOBH super fan, joined Andy Cohen and Elizabeth Moss in the Bravo Clubhouse for Tuesday night’s (April 8) episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she revealed her surprising connection to Wade.

“She actually, randomly enough, opened for my ex-husband on his tour a few years ago,” Morris said. “We have a ton of mutual friends, she’s so sweet. Very talented.”

“I was very shocked to see her on the show because I’m such a Beverly Hills fan and had met Kyle and Mauricio years prior,” she continued. “And then all of a sudden, Morgan’s on TV and I was like, ‘Holy shit. It’s Nashville on Beverly Hills!’ But she’s lovely.”

Morris then added, “I kind of feel bad that I’m talking about her when she doesn’t want to be talked about.”

Wade made her Bravo debut in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13, which only fueled rumors that she and Richards were dating amid the latter’s separation from Umansky. However, Wade opted to stay away from the cameras this season, with Richards explaining early on that she didn’t sign up to be a reality star.

While Richards has vehemently denied the romance rumors, the conversation surrounding their friendship was a hot topic in Tuesday night’s RHOBH reunion episode as Cohen confronted her for playing Wade’s lover in her “Fall in Love with Me” music video, despite Wade’s wish to remain separate from the Bravo universe.

“I do just want to point out, putting out a music video that is like the two of you as lovers, it contributed so mightily to a conversation that was already a runaway train, and that was totally in her hands, I have to say,” Cohen said. “It’s like, at some point, you can’t have your cake and eat it too. I mean, sorry.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
