Jimmy Fallon is feeling “a little nervous” about his upcoming sit-down with Taylor Swift.
On Thursday night’s (Oct. 2) episode of Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked Fallon if he ever gets nervous to interview celebrities on The Tonight Show.
“I get nervous all the time,” he admitted on the WWHL After Show. “Nothing’s the same. It’s always different every single day. Different things happen where it’s like, oh, my gosh, Taylor Swift is coming on. Am I gonna get nervous for that?”
“I won’t get that nervous but I will get a little nervous just because she’s global,” he continued. “And I’ve known her for a long time. I’ve known her mom.”
Swift is set to appear on The Tonight Show on Monday, Oct. 6 to promote her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The last time Swift sat down with Fallon for an interview was in 2022 to promote the release of Midnights, her 10th studio album.
Cohen gushed over Fallon’s “beautiful relationship” with Swift, pointing out that The Tonight Show is one of the only shows she appears on during her press cycles (Swift is also set to stop by The Graham Norton Show and Late Night with Seth Meyers over the next week).
“I love it,” Fallon said, before revealing that he didn’t even go to the Eras Tour. “I get kind of nervous for my friends when they do tours. I know she would never have even see my face in a sea of 30,000 people or whatever, but I was afraid that my big fat face would mess her up and she’ll forget the lyrics.”
“I didn’t see [Adam] Sandler do standup,” he added. “I get nervous.”
According to Fallon, he doesn’t want to be the “jinx” that messes everything up.
Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
