The 2023 Women’s World Cup is set to kick off on July 20 in Australia and New Zealand.

Thirty-two teams begin their group stage play on Thursday, and will need to finish in the top two of their respective class to advance to the knockout stage. The tournament will run through August 20.

The Americans are seeking a third consecutive title and are +225 favorites to win. England, Germany, Spain and France are also considered to be contenders, making the 2023 Women’s World Cup a must-watch event.

Out of eight prior Women’s World Cups, the USWNT has four titles, Germany has two and Japan and Norway have one title each.
