The body of a woman believed to be in her 30s was found stuffed in a basement trash compactor at a tony Chelsea condo complex Friday afternoon, cops said.

The grisly discovery was made at 2:40 p.m. in the basement of +Art at 540 W. 28th St., a posh Manhattan development where a two-bedroom unit recently fetched more than $2 million.

It was not immediately known how long the woman’s body had been down there, and police said they are still investigating her cause of death.
