NextImg:Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann slams ‘psychic detective’ over failed DNA test

The Polish woman who believes she’s missing British girl Madeline McCann has attacked the “psychic” private investigator who arranged for a DNA test that nixed her claim.

Julia Faustyna, 21, — who has insisted she might be the 3-year-old who vanished on a family vacation in Portugal in 2007 — accused gumshoe Fia Johansson of “trying to scare me” and questioned if she ever really wanted to help her after the test results disproved her assertions, LBC News reported.

Faustyna she said she was “struggling to understand” the DNA test results and even complained that Johansson, who describes herself as a “psychic detective,” didn’t even give her all the documentation on the tests.

Meanwhile, Johannson told the UK’s Mirror that she “always believed Madeleine is alive — but when I flew out to Poland, I knew Julia wasn’t Madeleine.”

She described Faustyna as a “vulnerable,” “immature” person suffering from depression and other mental-health issues who “struggled to recognize who she was. She needed to get closure.”

Johannson added: “Now she is with her father, I will continue to talk to her. I believe she needs to be protected. The mother is like a poison in her life and she could have easily done the DNA test.”

She told the Mirror that “at least Julia warned people not to give up on Maddy’s case. Next time, it could be Madeleine.”

On Monday, she announced that Faustyna “is absolutely 100 percent from Poland. She is a small percentage of Lithuanian and Russian but the test results show she is Polish.”

While Faustyna said Johansson has refused to send her the DNA test documents, the investigator denied the claims, according to LBC.

In a new Instagram post, Johansson said “Julia was provided al the information about her DNA results to check for herself.”

She wrote: “Although Julia is disappointed about this revelation and the spotlight may fade away, the truth as presented in the results speaks to perhaps an unwelcome new reality. I am glad she is safe and sound with her family she perhaps does not want. Her doctor of several years had prescribed medication which she was not taking consistently.”

Johannson also revealed that doctors have determined that Faustyna does not have leukemia, but said she suffers from Cushing syndrome, a pituitary disorder.

She ended the post by wishing the young woman well.

“Julia – I wish you the best despite what you say. We had an eventful journey, but like all good things there is always an ending, sometimes happy and sometimes sad,” she wrote.

On Wednesday, a rep for Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann said the couple refused to comment about the findings, saying anything to report would come from the Metropolitan Police.

Faustyna claimed on Instagram and TikTok that she might be McCann because of their shared age and appearance – and submitted samples for three forensic tests to outline her DNA sequence and a 23andMe-style genetic test to establish her ancestry.

But the test results came back negative.

“Julia has had a difficult childhood, we know she has been sexually abused, she has been very open about this, and my investigation uncovered legal records proving that this was true,”  Johansson told The Sun.

She said a male was jailed for his crimes.

“Then on top of that she felt she was being ignored by her mother, who refused to take the DNA test which could have stopped all this from the beginning and given her the closure she needs,” she told the outlet.

“At first she didn’t want to believe the DNA results, she was saying ‘What if someone changed the results?’ but I told her, ‘Stop this now,’” Johansson said.

A DNA test has proven that Faustyna is not Madeleine McCann — despite her claims.

“I can understand as a psychologist why she didn’t want to believe her mother is her real mother. But I told her she must stop this fixation now that she is Madeleine McCann and accept the result of the DNA test and start to move on with her life,” she continued.

“The DNA test has proven she is from a small village in Poland where her mother and many cousins are from. These tests don’t lie,” Johansson added.
